United Kingdom. British cavalry helmet Model 1871 of the Duke of Lancaster’s Own Yeomanry (or Duke of Lancaster’s Cavalry). This model was used from 1871 to 1901, during the Reign of Victoria I of the United Kingdom. Made of metal, with the shield of the Duke of Lancaster in the center, chin strap of scales and black horse hair. The liner retains the original padding. British helmet from the Victorian era.
