Germany III Reich. German bayonet model M1884/98 made for the Mauser Kar 98k. Wooden handle. The blade is marked «CoppelG.m.b.H.» from the manufacturer Alexander Coppel & Co. KG, Solingen, the serial number «9656» and the number «40» on the counter edge in reference to the year 1940. The scabbard is marked «S/244» and «36» in reference to the manufacturer H. Mundlos & Co. AG of Magdeburg and the year of manufacture 1936. It also contains the manufacturer’s number «4375». On the handle there are two waffenamts with the eagle. World War II German bayonet.
