Japan. Member badge of the Yokusan Sōnendan (大日本翼賛壮年団) or Imperial Rule Assistance Young Men’s Corps, the paramilitary youth wing of the Imperial Rule Assistance Association (Taisei Yokusankai, 大政翼贊會) established in January 1942.
In the same way that the Taisei Yokusankai was considered the namesake of Mussolini’s National Fascist Party or the German NSDAP, the Yokusan Sōnendan was considered the Japanese version of the Italian Blackshirts or the German SA.
