Spain. Service record of an Elizabethan Officer of the Third Carlist War (1872-1876)
This service record belonged to a volunteer who joined the Army in 1867. In 1871 he swore allegiance to Amadeo I of Spain and took part in the Third Carlist War. During these years he obtained a White Cross for Military Merit and three Red Crosses for Military Merit. He participated in operations in the Vascongadas, Burgos, Montejurra, Monjardín, Santa Bárba or Estella among others, being rewarded with the Alfonso XII Medal with Santa Bárbara and Estella pin, the Civil War Medal and the Cross of Isabel la Católica.
