French Infantry short sword or Briquet Saber Model 1802 (An XI) of Infantry of the First French Empire.
From the period of the Napoleonic Wars.
The markings on the Briquet are barely visible. In the upper part of the blade there is a mark that could be a B in a circle, the first marking of a Bick quality chronograph (1809-1812), although it is barely visible due to its wear.
The scabbard is missing the tip of the scabbard but the leather is whole.
