It was the first French helmet from 1945 worn by the troops of General De Gaulle.
This model is inspired by the 1941 model helmet designed by Vichy France which was inspired by the 1926 model of the French tankers.
It is inspired by the headpiece that Jeanne d’Arc wears in the first sculptures that depict her.
The interior is the first model, manufactured by Abefra, with leather fastening rings, very deteriorated.
It bears the marking Franck de Aubervilliers, Modèle 1945 A.
This helmet is also known as De Gaulle Helmet.
