Chile. Grand Cross breast star of the Order of Merit of Chile.

The Order of Merit of Chile, instituted as an Order in 1929, is the highest distinction awarded by the Chilean Government to honour foreign citizens who provide notable services to the Republic. The Grand Cross has the name «Orden del Mérito» inscribed on it and is intended for ministers of State, ambassadors, commanders-in-chief of the Armed Forces and presidents of the Legislative Chambers or Supreme Courts.
