Spanish flag from the Cuban War period. This flag was one of the Spanish flags left in Cuba when the island gained independence after the war of independence, or Necessary War, against Spain. It measures 200 x 110. It has numerous holes. The fabric is cotton with a flat damask-type embroidery. It comes from a Cuban collection.
